Frequently asked questions

 On your first visit, you can expect to be taken through a full assessment. We will discuss your concerns & goals, review your health history, and assess your entire musculoskeletal system (joint motion, muscle strength, muscle length, balance and movement quality). All sessions will be performed under the direct care of a licensed doctor of physical therapy. You can also expect treatment on the first day to include things such as manual therapy, corrective exercises and potentially dry needling. At the end of your session you and the therapist will discuss your expected plan of care, home exercises and home modifications if needed. Throughout your entire time at Elite Movement Specialists you can expect to be the only patient seen during your session.  

We've chosen to go against the flow! Elite Movement Specialists LLC proudly operates out-of-network with all insurances, including Medicare. Why, you ask? In a world where insurance payouts are dwindling, we refuse to compromise on the quality of our service by seeing more than one client at a time. To keep our doors open without sacrificing the personal touch and expertise we're known for, we've opted for a model that allows us to focus on one-on-one care, ensuring you get the elite treatment you deserve.

 You do not need a referral to see a physical therapist in Georgia. We can see patients for eight visits within 21 days before requiring a referral for treatment from your medical doctor. If you plan to submit your receipts to your insurance company, we highly recommend calling your insurance company to inquire if you need a referral for physical therapy services to be reimbursed. Some insurance companies require a referral or a prescription from a physician to prove the medical necessity of your care & to justify reimbursement.  

 Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) & Health Saving Accounts (HSA) are acceptable for treatment sessions related to physical therapy paired with a doctor's order to show medical necessity. To qualify, we will provide you with documentation in the form of a receipt for your records and to submit to your insurance company.
